Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes how LamellaStudio handles refunds and cancellations for subscription services purchased through our platform.

1. Digital Nature of Services

LamellaStudio provides digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) for parametric design of lamella structures. As our services are delivered digitally and access is granted immediately upon payment, all purchases are generally considered final.

2. Free Tier

LamellaStudio offers a free tier that allows you to explore the platform's core features — including 3D preview and parameter controls — before committing to a paid plan. We encourage all users to evaluate the free tier before purchasing.

3. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period
  • You retain access to the free tier features after your subscription ends
  • You may export your project data before the subscription period ends

4. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:

  • Technical issues: If a critical platform malfunction prevented you from using paid features for an extended period, and we were unable to resolve the issue in a timely manner
  • Duplicate charges: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period
  • Unauthorized transactions: If a charge was made without your authorization

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge in question.

5. Cryptocurrency Payments

Payments made via cryptocurrency (processed through NOWPayments) are subject to the following conditions:

  • Due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions, cryptocurrency refunds will be processed to the original wallet address or an address specified by the customer
  • Refund amounts in cryptocurrency will be calculated based on the USD equivalent at the time of the refund, not the original payment — exchange rate fluctuations are the responsibility of the customer
  • Network transaction fees for processing refunds are borne by the customer
  • Cryptocurrency refunds may take 3–10 business days to process, depending on network conditions

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Services already consumed (e.g., files already exported)
  • Partial billing periods after a cancellation
  • Price differences due to promotional offers or plan changes
  • Charges older than 14 days unless related to unauthorized transactions

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact our support team with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • Date and amount of the charge
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Transaction ID or payment reference (if available)

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days.

8. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your payment provider. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
